My Son, The Athlete…

So on March 24, 2022, my life changed completely. I found out that I was going to be a father. It was honestly a dream come true. I always wanted to be a father. Truth be told I don’t have a good relationship with my own father so I always told myself that when my opportunity came to be one myself I wouldn’t mess it up.

If you haven’t figured it out I am a personal trainer and I believe a damn good one at that. I don’t know everything but I do try my best to help everyone I interact with. With that said, what will my son be when he grows up? Does he have to be a personal trainer? Does he have to be sculpted like a Greek God? Does he have to be a incredible athlete? The answer to all that is absolutely not.

My son, will be anything he wants to be first and foremost. My one goal is to give my son the tools needed to be successful and happy with any and everything he does. When it pertains to fitness though, I do have expectations. I want my son to understand the importance of fitness and wellness. The importance of having a regular workout routine and eating a well balanced diet geared towards to his own fitness goals. To me that’s as important as teaching someone to swim. My son is taking swim lessons right now. Fun fact: I don’t know how to swim myself and I was born on an island, Jamaica.

Just like swimming, understanding fitness and wellness, is good for survival and longevity. Just want to pass on all my knowledge to my son, whether it’s about fitness, finance or relationships. What he does with that knowledge is solely up to him. I will love him now and always.
